4.3 SAFETY BOOTS

Take your safety boots/shoes to the Host Trainers site/s and wear them at all times unless otherwise instructed.

Safety boots/shoes should always be in sound condition, and should always be in sound condition, and should be fit for service. This means no holes or splits and the toe protection must not be visible through the leather. Boots that lace up must only use proper laces. Thick socks will prevent boot rub.

4.4 SAFETY HELMET

Always wear your hard hat when the area you are working in is designated with signs or other warnings. This will protect you from falling debris or materials.

If your hat has taken a substantial hit or is over two years old ask for it to be replaced.

Do not paint or put stickers on the helmet as it may affect the integrity of the helmet.

4.5 EYE PROTECTION

Safety Glasses and Goggles - These are provided and should be worn at all times. Some jobs require the additional protection of goggles or even a full-face mask. If there is any doubt about the type of eye protection, which should be used, check with your Job Supervisor or Field Officer.
