3.7 DRUGS & ALCOHOL

An employee or any other person entering a work site under the influence of Drugs or Alcohol will not be tolerated.

Master Plumbers Apprentices Limited, under our pastoral care duties, and has the service of practitioners who can help an employee who has a problem. Call your Field Officer today for assistance in this matter

Prescribed Drugs. You should check with your Field Officer or Rehabilitation Counselor before you enter any work site, TAFE or any place else where you may be called upon as an employee of Master Plumbers Apprentices Limited;

Alcohol will not be tolerated on any work site.

Under the influence. If you feel you are under the influence of alcohol, from activities performed prior to the commencement of work. You should seek medical assistance and not show up for work. You should follow the "sickness" procedure. You may be subject to counseling over your attendance, however in all cases this is preferable to an accident

Illicit Drugs will not be tolerated at the workplace.
Sale of Illicit Drugs will not be tolerated at the workplace. The Police will be informed and you will subject to counseling usually leading to summary dismissal

If you are unsure of the effect of a legal non-prescribed drug for a cold ETC talk to Master Plumbers Apprentices Limited before you start work. They will consult a Doctor and pharmacist on any possible side effects and confirm if it is safe for you to work.
