1.1 OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY STATEMENT OF POLICY
The Management of Master Plumbers Apprentices Limited is committed
to ensuring that as far as reasonably possible all employees are
safe from injuries and risk to health whilst they are at work and
accept that health and safety is one of the primary responsibilities
of Management at all levels.
Accountability
for health and safety rests with each level of management with the
responsible officer being the Field Officer or the Rehabilitation
Coordinator.
Management
will be responsible for ensuring that all reasonable and practicable
action will be taken to achieve and maintain a performance level
which safe guards the health and safety of all employees. All members
of the Master Plumbers Apprentices Limited workforce will conduct
himself or herself in such a manner that the safety of everyone
with whom they work is enhanced by they're presence.
All
employees are to be involved in safety matters and hence contribute
to the reduction of hazards either whilst working at sites controlled
by Master Plumbers Apprentices Limited or any Host Employer by:
Identifying and reducing or removing the risk of all types of
work related events that may produce injury or illness.
Identifying, assessing and controlling to safe levels those
chemicals and physical agents in the work place capable of causing
injury or work related disease.
Master
Plumbers Apprentices Limited is committed to continuous improvement
and will monitor and will upgrade its Occupational Health &
Safety Program to ensure that the highest practicable standards
are met. Master Plumbers Apprentices Limited will, where possible,
support our client safety programs.
To achieve this Master Plumbers Apprentices Limited will use applicable
Occupational Health & Safety Legislation, codes of practice,
Australian Standards or industry best practice as a minimum standard
and as a guide to achieve a safe, healthy and productive workplace.
