ARE YOU SAFETY CONSCIOUS?

Master Plumbers Apprentices Limited believes the safety of an apprentice is foremost. It would seem that some of our apprentices are not following the manual handling techniques as outlined in the Introduction to General Occupational Health and Safety course (Green Card) and other manual handling literature and training given by MPAL.

Remember,
1) Bend from your knees.
2) If it is to heavy seek assistance or use a lifting device.
3) Be sure you are securely footed when lifting.
4) Be sure that you have an uninterrupted route.
5) Do not strain...It will cause pain.
6) If unsure check, check, check.

Back Safety
When lifting heavy objects, bend from the knees and if required, seek assistance.

Safety Equipment Reminders
When soldering wear your safety glasses, safety boots, and gauntlets. Safety boots and safety equipment must be taken to and available at TAFE everyday.

When working in the sun, remember to wear sun block out, a long sleeved shirt, trousers and protective shoes. "SLIP SLOP AND SLAP"
