Workers Compensation Claims
You are asked to notify the Group Scheme without delay of any accident involving a Group Scheme apprentice. You should make no admissions regarding the matter.
Please do not pay your apprentice any wages on behalf of master plumbers apprentices limited as a result of workers compensation claims.

Apprentice Appraisal Report
Apprentice Appraisal reports, as provided by Master Plumbers Apprentices Limited, are to be completed and returned to the Group Scheme on a monthly basis. They are used to assist in monitoring the apprentices' progress and for selection of the Clarrie Wymer Apprenticeship Awards which are presented annually.

Progress Reviews

Periodically you will receive a visit from a Field Officer in order for the completion of a progress review. This information records the training, dedication, work ethics and behaviour of the apprentices and is used in determining future placements and human resources counselling issues.

Human Resources and Counselling
If you are having a problem with an apprentice Master Plumbers Apprentices Limited need to be involved immediately. They have a team whom will strive to solve any issues and if necessary deal out the appropriate forms of punishment.

Placement and Termination
The minimum placement period for a Group Scheme apprentice is 90 days. You are required to give the Group Scheme a minimum of two weeks notice of your intention to terminate your Group Scheme Apprentice's services.

You can not stand down an apprentice for lack of work

Superannuation and Long Service Leave
Each Master Plumbers apprentice is registered with both an approved Superannuation Fund and the Long Service Payments Corporation details of which are forwarded to you at the time of the apprentice's commencement with you.

Safety Equipment
Each Master Plumbers apprentice has been issued with personal safety equipment consisting of:
• Safety helmet
• Welding goggles
• Leather gloves
• Ear muffs
• Safety goggles
• Safety Boots
• Eye protection

Please ensure the apprentice uses his safety equipment whenever appropriate. You are required to supply any and all safety equipment not listed here.

OH&S and your Apprentice
Each Master Plumbers apprentice has been trained in the general Introduction to Occupational Health and Safety for the Construction Industry. They also have received a statement of attainment in Occupational Health and Safety Training for the plumbing industry.

You should also be prepared to complete the occupational Health and Safety Training for the plumbing industry if you have not completed this course.

Although the apprentice has been trained, you are required to assess their safety skills when they start with you and always monitor and check they are complying with your safe work methods in your company.

These safe work methods should also comply with WorkCover NSW safe work methods.
